Good Governance Week Grievances Redressal Camps held across Bandipora

BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 22: Continuing with Block Divas initiatives of Lieutenant Governor Administration & as a art of activities under ensuing Good Governance Week celebrations, special public grievance redressal camps were held across Bandipora district on Wednesday to get the first hand appraisal of the issues faced by the public.
The public interaction programme witnessed huge participation of locals who were anxious to present the issues of the area before the District administration teams.

Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan attended the Public Darbar at Arin block of the district and gave patient hearing to all issues put forth and took spot decisions for Speedy action.
He was accompanied by Member District Development Council Gh Mohiuddin Rather, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Altaf Hossain Mosvi, members of PRIs and other senior officers of the district.
Apart from other issues people stressed on ensuring power supply as per schedule during winters, availability of pure drinking water and ration, Solid Waste management in Panchayats and town, renovation of water bodies, macadamization of left out roads besides bringing the area on Tourism Map.
DDC Rather on the occasion brought in light the issues faced by the people of upper reaches of the area including shamthan, Kudara, Kotasathri etc. He also demanded the earlier estimation of works in the upper areas so that time lapse issue is addressed. He informed the chair that their long pending demand of receiving station may be fulfilled for the land stand already identified.
While interacting with the public delegations, ADDC Bandipora directed the officers to launch a special awareness campaign at Panchayat level regarding various welfare schemes and the schemes for unemployed youths for establishing various income generating units. He also urged them to ensure transparency in delivery of public services.
Ali Afsar Khan said in connection with the celebrations of “Good Governance Week” being held from December 20 to December 26, 2021, under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, Online delivery of eight revenue services commenced in Sumbal Tehsil on trial basis whille all other tehsils shall be covered within a weeks’ time on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Dr Owais Ahmad.
He said under the initiative eight revenue services including issuance of income certificate, EWS Certificate, Marriage Certificate, OBC/RBA/ALC Certificate, SC/ST Certificate, Dependent Certificate, Legal Heir Certificate and character certificate shall be provided online from now onwards.
While responding to public issues, ADDC Bandipora asked officers to ensure electricity in winters as per schedule and urged people to co-operate by not using heating appliances that put load on the system and leads to frequent power cuts.
The ADDC further asked the concerned officers to work in proper coordination in monitoring of mobilisation of target sub-groups of unorganised workers like MGNREGA workers, SHG members under NRLM and NULM, street vendors, Auto drivers, construction (BOCW) workers, mid-day meal workers, domestic workers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, Agricultural laborers and Fishermen through respective line departments for registration under e-SHRAM in terms of defined targets.
Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Altaf Hussain Mosvi and Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad attended the Block Diwas at Bandipora block while SDM Sumbal Dr Bashir Ahmad Lone and SDM Gurez Dr Mudasir attended Block Diwas at their respective Sub-Divisional Headquarters in Sumbal and Hajin respectively.
