Indian Army provided relief to fire Victim in Zurhama Kupwara

Kupwara,14th Jan 2022:- Indian Army, Kupwara Terriers on the special occasion of 19th Raising Day of the Battalion on 14 Jan 2022 provided CGI sheets to Abdul Majeed Raina of Zurhama Kupwara who has recently lost his house in a fire incident. Abdul Majeed Raina has served Indian Army 160 Infantry Battalion TA for 17 years and proceeded on superannuation after completion of the authorised colour service of 17 years. House of Ab Majeed Raina was completely gutted in fire incident wherein his family lost all their stuff and became homeless.

The affected ESM approached to his parent unit of Indian Army, Kupwara Terriers to provide some CGI sheets to cover the roof of the newly constructed house to live in. Meanwhile Indian Army 160 Infantry Battalion TA honouring the request of the ESM, immediately provided a quantity of 60 CGI sheets to Ex Rifleman Abdul Majeed Raina for rehabilitation.

In view of the harsh winter conditions, this act of Indian Army provides immediate relief to affected family. The victim Abdul Majeed Raina and locals highly appreciated the kind of assistance provided to them by Indian Army Kupwara Terriers. They also said that Indian Army always remains in the forefront of assisting needy and poor people at every time.
