PM’s 25th visit in 11 years
The Prime Minister has a long-standing attachment with Jammu and Kashmir. This is his 25th visit to Jammu and Kashmir in the last 11 years. Earlier, he has visited for traditional festivals and political activities.
BJP started preparations.
The last assembly elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir in November 2014. Since then, elections were postponed due to various reasons. After the intervention of the Supreme Court, it has been asked to conduct assembly elections here by the coming September. For this, the BJP has intensified preparations. In the recently held core group meeting of the state BJP in Jammu, emphasis was laid on the party cadre to go among the people and count the achievements of the BJP government and increase contact.
